The performance of the popular RRR song, Naatu Naatu, received a standing ovation at the 95th Academy Awards, a proud moment for India. Singers Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava delivered an energetic performance, receiving applause from the audience at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. Actor Deepika Padukone introduced the performance while Priyanka Chopra virtually cheered for it on her Instagram Stories.
Naatu Naatu, a mass anthem with unique choreography by Prem Rakshith and lyrics by Chandrabose, is nominated in the Best Original Song category at the Oscars. The song competes with other popular tracks such as Tell It Like a Woman, Hold My Hand, Lift Me Up, and This Is a Life.
MM Keeravaani, the composer of Naatu Naatu, and actors Ram Charan and NTR Jr sat in the audience and cheered for the singers during the performance. Kaala expressed gratitude towards the Academy for providing them with the opportunity to perform at the Oscars and shared his excitement for the dance-filled performance.

Although NTR Jr was hoping to perform the song, he stated that they did not have enough time to rehearse for the biggest stage in the world. Hence, he was unable to join the performance, leaving the stage to the talented singers and the music director.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday also congratulated the ‘RRR‘ team after its track ‘Naatu Naatu’ became the first Indian film song to win an Oscar.
Exceptional!
The popularity of ‘Naatu Naatu’ is global. It will be a song that will be remembered for years to come. Congratulations to @mmkeeravaani, @boselyricist and the entire team for this prestigious honour.
